Number 8
The most misunderstood number!
In NUMEROLOGY, number 8 (Saturn, also known as Shani in Sanskrit) has always been misunderstood and is generally associated with bad luck.
The biggest question here is whether it is true?
I have been researching the significance and position of different numbers in numerology. I have seen that most people have fear from numbers 8 and 4, represented by Saturn (Shani) and the North-Node of the Moon (Rahu), respectively.
In my observation, no number or no planet is bad or good, as they all play their roles in our life, and we need to balance them to make our lives better with simple yet powerful remedies. This should only be practiced should we understand and realize that a particular number is not balanced as per our date of birth.

Saturn is the Universal judge of this world, and as judge and teacher, is knows who to punish and who to bless based on their deeds and actions. One can take learning in either way. If one takes it negatively, it does teach us a lot through tough methods, but if one takes this learning in a positive way and accepts the learning with open arms, it does give a lot. Saturn is a very dry and extremely cold planet.
As humans, we cannot always be correct, and when we go through the judgment of Saturn, we are expected to realize our own mistakes; however, many do not realize their mistakes, and that is where Saturn comes into our lives to teach us, either we learn, or we are taught with a stick.
Whatever hardships come, if you can just let it pass, and if you do not react to it, you can be rewarded at the end of this period. If you quietly receive your punishments repenting for the errors and the sins you have committed, then you could be saved at the end of that period. If you react negatively to it, you would be put off for a more extended punishment.

ASTROLOGICALLY, Saturn is one of the essential significator (karaka) representation after Jupiter (Guru Brihaspati). Understanding the placements of Saturn, we can understand the fundamental values:
Characteristics
Saturn has one of the unique characteristics. It rules not only hard work but also is the judge amongst the planets; hence Saturn is a true lord of Karma, whereby the honesty and hard work put in will always give a positive result in one area of another.
Lordship
Saturn rules the natural tenth and eleventh house, being Capricorn and Aquarius, respectively. The tenth house represents the house of work and one’s throne; hence, the placement proves that work is wholly associated with Saturn in the natural zodiac. The eleventh house of the zodiac represents gains and understanding that the eleventh is second from tenth (second from any house is the gain of that house); hence the eleventh house is the gain of the tenth, which means that if Saturn is well activated, there will always be gains.
Exaltation
Saturn gets exalted in Libra’s sign, which is the natural seventh house on the natural zodiac. The seventh house represents relationship and partnership. This exaltation clearly shows that Saturn understands the true value of a relationship. To understand this basic principle, when we put effort (work of the tenth) in any relationship (seventh), whether it is a work or personal relationship, there is always a gain (eleventh).
Debilitation
Saturn gets in debility when situated in the sign of Aries, which is the natural first sign. The first house shows oneself; hence this combination highlights that Saturn does not prefer selfish behavior. This has a clear relationship to Karma, whereby when you work for the benefit of all, Saturn always will favor you.
Directional Strength
Saturn gets directional strength whenever it is situated in the seventh house from the Ascendant. This astrological position clearly shows that no one understands the value of relationship more than Saturn, and this can be directly connected with the mythology because Saturn was the rejected child of the Sun and had to put a lot of work before it earned its true power of being a planet of significance.
Nakshatra Analysis
Saturn, as per the Vimshottari Dasha system, represents the following nakshatras:
• Pushya: This nakshatra is known for nourishment and one of the most stable nakshatras as per the Vedic
Astrology system.
• Anuradha: This nakshatra dictates the celestial heavens above with balance, harmony, and honor.
• Uttara Bhadrapada: This nakshatra is one of the most balanced nakshatras whereby the natives are happy people, good speaking skills, love children, and are honest.
It’s evident that if we try to balance our life and adjust to the problem as our GUEST, all numbers and planets are wonderful.
Remedies:

Conclusion
As for every planet, Saturn too has both sides; positive and negative; however, there is a slight difference between Saturn’s negative compared to other planets. It is negative and destructive but transformative. Should you wish to transform, then the journey will be beautiful and enriching. People also have created a misconception of considering black and blue as colors that bring ill-luck and should be avoided on auspicious occasions but has anyone wondered how come in that case, schools’ children grow up wearing black shoes or some of the most prestigious events demand a black-tie or the very thought of a black-tie is considered glamorous, the entire Gulf countries following the faith of Islam wear black and they are one of the most flourishing and rich nations in the world. Is it that black and blue are inauspicious colors or is it the color that should be used when you wish to absorb specific energy? Food for thought!
