Number 4
A Myth or Reality.
In NUMEROLOGY, number 4 (North Node of the Moon, also known as Rahu in Sanskrit) has always been considered to be the biggest scammer and looked down upon as the misconception is that it only misleads people.
The question here is whether they are really misleading, or they think beyond the ability of a normal person’s thought process?
I have been researching the significance and position of different numbers in numerology, and unfortunately many just have a perception of good and bad with numbers and lacking the simple thought that it is a vibration and it depends on the person and nature whether it will give a positive or a negative result. Many times the stereotyped “good” numbers like 2 and 3 can be fatal and bring misfortune to people.

Individuals with the power of Rahu are generally very energetic and have sufficient physical and mental energy. They are always willing to do different things as they do not like the idea of sitting idle even for the shortest period of time. They enjoy working and have a very sharp focus and can easily see trends and patterns in their work. This is why most of these people have significant success in their career and tend to move far ahead than their colleagues or competitors, simply due to the passion and the vision they have.
Rahu, being the significator of a foreign land, individuals may have a tendency to settle or frequently travel outside their place of birth. They like interacting and engaging with people rather than sitting in one place and doing routine monotonous work. When it comes to their work, they can be pretty straightforward and blunt and do not like the idea of wasting time. Rather they wish to finish their work well in the very first go so they can move on to the other task.
A positive Rahu or a number 4 vibration will always have a strong opinion and beliefs of what they think is right or wrong. They may also appear to be very stubborn to others, at times, however, this is because they need time to review and think of the situation. People with this number cannot be pushed around because they are trendsetters and not trend followers. The Rahu energy is intelligent, and they know it! Hence they do not like to be told what to do and if really cornered, they can get argumentative. This happens when their patience is highly tested.
As Rahu, the vibration of number 4 signifies an out-of-bound thought process, curiosity, travel, and intelligent mind, they are one of the best in discoveries, inventions, explorations, and creating a new thought or journey. They are not generalists but specialists hence they can be excellent communication specialists, business strategists, institution leaders, and politicians to name a few professions.
On the other side of Rahu, if the vibrations of number 4 aren’t favorable it can cause multiple issues. Being restless is one of the key traits which can cause immense boredom of routine and may have a tendency to keep the need for change very frequent. In such a case, they tend to change jobs frequently or can also lead to having multiple relationships. The intention is not to escape from the situation but to satisfy their need for constant change. They may tend to live in illusions (Maya).

ASTROLOGICALLY, Rahu is one of the four intelligent planets.
Characteristics
Rahu is the Bhoga planet and the creation of Maya. It gives one exposure to the illusion and depending upon the condition of Rahu the individual will either indulge or consume only what is required. Rahu is one of the key significators for rebirth due to unfulfilled desires and on the other hand, Saturn is responsible for all karmic behavior. As Rahu is a shadow planet the physical aspect is correlated to Shani (Saturn).
Lordship
Rahu rules the natural eleventh house (Aquarius) and has a unique healing ability which is why the sign is represented by a kamandalu, (a pot that Rishi and Sadhus carry filled with water). The eleventh house of the zodiac represents gains which clearly means you will receive what you sow, hence one has to be very careful because the eleventh house and Rahu can even give negative gains of your seed.
Exaltation
Rahu gets exalted in the Gemini sign, which is the natural third house of the natural zodiac. The third house represents communication, short travels, expression, the fighting spirit, and transportation. The exaltation of Rahu clearly signifies that one needs to be focused on how you communicate, express and whether you have the valor in you or not. Hence Rahu becomes very important for diplomats, communication experts, politicians, leaders, and government administrative services to name a few.
Debilitation
Rahu gets debilitated when situated in the sign of Sagittarius, which is the natural ninth house. The ninth house signifies tradition, dharma, rituals, religious path, and past life. Rahu is an out-of-bound thinker, challenges the unexplored, and is the significator to ensure your activities cause your rebirth.
Directional Strength
Rahu gets directional strength whenever it is situated in the seventh house from the Ascendant. This astrological position clearly shows that as Rahu represents Saturn it too understands the value of a relationship. The question is whether what it supports is morally and socially acceptable depends upon multiple factors.
Nakshatra Analysis
Rahu, as per the Vimshottari Dasha system, represents the following nakshatras:
